[Full review in Spanish] Apr 17, 2017 Full Review T'Cha Dunlevy Montreal Gazette Things come together in the home stretch, giving the film a certain poignancy... but it's not quite enough to make up for the time lost in the first hour-and-change of this earnest, plodding tale. Benedito Luiz A If you love a well acted drama and tearjerker movie, that's it!!! Loved, a kind of movie you don't want it to finish! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/14/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is a rare treat. One critic´s quote read ´Like carved out of one piece.´ Perfect description. Left me in awe. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Un film touchant. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member El hijo de Jean [2016] Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member This story takes its time to tell and quietly reveals emotions long buried in several characters. The film is rewarding as we watch Mathieu respond to the complicated events unfolding before him. He thought he was going to meet his brothers for the first time, but so much more lays hidden and it's a joy to watch this unfolding. This character has such an innate decency and authenticity that he draws everyone in, including the viewer. A slow simmer of a film, I enjoyed ever minute. The lead actor's performance is wrenching and understated. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
