While working with his students on a glacier excavation, Professor Chen, an expert archeologist, notices the artifacts they discovered are strikingly similar to a jade pendant he had seen in his dreams. Suspecting the pendant is creating a mystical connection between past and present -- the realm of dreams and reality -- he leads his research team on an expedition deep into the Glacier Temple in search of the truth and a connection to his past, but their journey across the ice is filled with life-threatening obstacles and dangerous surprises.

All this is ruined by the uneven pacing, a distinct lack of energy, the use of shoddy CGI, and most gravely, a disturbingly de-aged Jackie Chan who wouldn’t look out of place in a PlayStation 3 videogame.

GIBT ES NOCH GUTE JACKIE CHAN FILME? Der Archäologe Jack und sein Team finden einen seltenen Jadeanhänger, das ihm und seinen Partner von der damaligen Zeit träumen lässt als die Hunnen angegriffen haben. In der Vergangenheit versuchen die Heerführer sich gegen die permanenten Angriffe der Hunnen zur wehren, eine schöne Schwertmeisterin soll dabei helfen. A Legend - Der Arm der Götter schlägt zurück geht ca. 129 Minuten und ist ab 12 Jahren freigegeben. Wir haben hier Jackie Chan in einer Doppelrolle, einmal als alten Archäologen der versucht mit "guten" Tipps dabei zu helfen das seine Kollegen sich verlieben und dann sein jüngeres ich (sieht teils echt grausig aus) das gegen die Hunnen kämpft. Wer jetzt denkt hier geht die meisterhafte Reihe der Arm der Götter Reihe weiter, wird hochgradig verarscht. Dies ist der deutsche Zusatztitel und hat nichts damit zu tun, eher erinnert alles an den Mythos. Die Story ist nicht sehr aufregend oder spektakulär, besonders die Phasen in unserer Zeit. Wirkt wie Assassins Creed, da war das beste auch die Vergangenheit. Die jedoch bietet unterhaltsame Action, was da teils mit einem Bogen bewerkstelligt wird ist fantastisch. Leider war das ganze spirituelle und Traumgrquatsche nicht meins, typische Jackie Action gibt es in den letzten 15 Minuten, da ist auch der Spaß in Ordnung. Bis dahin gibt es viel Dialog, Klangschalen und schlechtes CGI. Am Ende bleibt ein durchschnittlicher Streifen mit coolen Kostümen und Mittelalter Action die passt. Leider ist die Story kaum ernst zunehmen und es wirkt eher alles wie ein Abklatsch von der Mythos, Kung Fu Yoga und Assassins Creed. Selbst die Musik ist recycelt. Von mir bekommt der Film 5/10 Punkten. Jackie rät seiner Kollegin, das wenn sie von ihrem Schwarm gesehen werden möchte, soll sie sich etwas her machen. Sie legt die Brille ab, macht Make-up ins Gesicht, legt den Bauchnabel frei, verkleidet sich dazu als Bauchtänzerin mit passenden Fick-Mich-Blick. Der Schwarm wird jedoch als oberflächlich bezeichnet, weil es ihm gefällt, Weisste Bescheid.
