SkyRo P "A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter" was an unexpected delight! This brief holiday special packs a punch with its cheeky humor, and I found myself thoroughly entertained. Sabrina has a magnetic presence and a strong connection with her viewers. She understands her audience well and knows how to showcase her artistry while appealing to those who may not be her usual fans. Initially, I was taken aback by the buzz around her possibly being cast as the live-action Rapunzel, thinking her persona was too risqué. However, this special reveals her impressive acting skills, as she captivates viewers and steps away from her Disney past. Sabrina clearly knows how to craft her image and deserves a shot at that role. I also recommend watching this special; she brings a festive vibe that’s both playful and suggestive without crossing the line, making it enjoyable for all ages with just the right amount of innuendo. Sabrina Carpenter has really stepped up her promotions and ability to market her music and brand this last year or so. I was vaguely familiar with her work from Disney and outside of that too, but over the course of 2024 she has burst onto the scene with huge success and fame. And in another brilliant move, she makes a throwback variety hour special just in time for the holidays! Its a throwback style special, filled with special guests, over the top skits, and holiday themed musical numbers. Though I wouldn’t say I’m a massive fan of hers, I did like this special as it just seemed like a lot of fun! Everyone involved seemed to be just having a good time and just playing it up to the fans. And isn’t that cool? Not all these specials or productions have to be super serious. I think that’s why holiday themed or related things always work: it always gives leeway for the people in the spotlight to just have a good time. And that’s always a positive! There was absolutely no overarching plot or themes and existed purely to see Sabrina collab with various other artists.
