Lennox's film is carefully constructed, ballasted by sterling performances from his two leads - neither of whom you would call attractive or empathetic. Go to Full Review

There's a good movie here about the peculiar bond between men of different social strata, but Lennox and his screenwriters, John Cairns and Michael McCartney, never quite locate it. Go to Full Review

The film is infuriating in its predictability, right down to its poetic but preposterous climax. Go to Full Review

There's nothing really new in A Patch of Fog, just a sharp little thriller that escalates well before its devious conclusion. Go to Full Review

A Patch of Fog mostly works as a taut atmospheric thriller that manages to hold some real surprises for the end, thanks to solid mise-en-scne and excellent performances. Go to Full Review

The director offers up a steady build of tension aided by mostly nocturnal activity and guided by director of photography Matthias Pilz's hand-held work. Go to Full Review

Melissa L @Agent99 06/28/2024 Though well-acted, this was a sad movie with a very sad ending. See more Conor F 12/31/2023 A good film with some good twists. Keeps you locked in from start to finish and some great acting! See more r 9 08/02/2022 Not a good'un. 'A Patch of Fog' isn't bad per se, I just can't really tell you anything that I particularly enjoyed about it. Sure I like Stephen Graham and Conleth Hill, though I've seen better from both. The plot does have a few moments of goodness with solid twists and a neat end, though those are few and far between as they are surrounded by much mediocre-ness. Graham and Hill do make sure it remains mildly watchable, though everything else kinda hinders more than it helps the film. Despite a 90 minute run time, it makes for a slow watch - not helped by the fact that the filmmakers let the cat out the bag, so to speak, very early on, a bit more suspense/subtlety would've went a long way. See more 10/06/2019 It was pretty decent, definitely kept you on your toes, however I did not like the ending at all. It kind of ruined it for more. See more Read all reviews
