Writer/director Robert Drew had amazing access to President John F. Kennedy and was able to film him "cinéma vérité"-style during his presidential campaign and short term in the White House. With added narration by Alec Baldwin, the documentary provides an intimate portrait of Kennedy, including his debates with Republican candidate Richard Nixon, his efforts to desegregate high schools in the South and his private moments with his family and friends.

Ron Wilkinson Monsters and Critics An excellent execution of cinema verite' by the man who invented the concept. Although the facts are well known, the tone and body language of the most famous president of the 20th century tell a story all their own. Rated: 7/10 May 7, 2008 Full Review Read all reviews
