Sarnoski makes the scenes of human intimacy as substantial as anything I’ve yet seen in this series. But just as I did with the first two, I staggered out of the theater glad the movie hadn’t run longer, and suffering from another concussion headache.

The weak link of the 3 films thus far... while the acting is fantastic and the cinematography, vfx, score, etc. were all solid.. the film does not do its purpose. As a prequel, it was to show how and why the Alien creatures showed up and show us more about them. Instead, they just suddenly show up, and all hell breaks loose. Unfortunately, with the exception of a few scenes, it focused entirely way too much about the main character and secondary lead rather than why the aliens are, or more about this aspect. As a big fan of the first 2 films, If there is a 4th installment, they have some redeeming to do imo.
