Missy B The structures were beautiful, but I didn’t see ANY chemistry between the two leads. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/09/24 Full Review Ali H At Christmastime, I love these goopy, predictable holiday romance movies. They're just feel-good nonsense to fill the time when it's cold outside. I think I've watched 75 billion of them and this one is one of the few that I've bothered to post about. It's just not good. And even if it was good (it isn't), I spent the majority of it distracted by how the prince looks older than his "parents." Are you telling me that there was no one over the age of 45 that they could have cast? I'm not expecting Julie Andrews and Michael Caine but come on. Dad is 4 years older and mom's DOB is MIA… Also distracting was his mediocre generic European accent. It was about as good as the movie itself. Overall some of the worst casting I've ever seen in one of these. Add in a snoozefest of a script and you have the makings of a movie most people will turn off 30 minutes in. Pass on this one. The setting is extraordinary. The lines were delivered with feeling, rather than reading a script, but not much enthusiasm. A fan of Stephen Huzar but the Scandinavian accent was odd. The worst, however, was the nauseatingly loud background music. I had to turn on closed captions to hear/read the dialogue. Background means in the background. Cute but predictable.
