Audience Member A harrowing, intense and gripping look at a controversial subject matter. Nothing exceptional, but notable for the emotional realism and the strong performance from Julie Walters. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Its gratifying to see that some parts of the world permit the portrayal of an intelligent person's choice to forego the agony of a prolonged death in the clutches of a cruel disease. A brilliant performance by Julie Walters as the real-life central character Anne Turner. (Just to piss off the born-agains a little more, there's a gay marriage near the end.) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Absolutely stunning DVD based on a true story about the decision of Dr. Anne Turner, suffering from a neurological disorder to end her life. Filled w love and compassion. Was particularly moved by the journey w her children, particularly her gay son. Available at the library. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
