Audience Member It causes you to reflect on the impact one person can have on your life, however, it does leave a lot of loose ends concerning Nick. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member 2017-08-11 bonus points for being about debate. Plot was incomplete. Why did Nick go to India? Why didn't Amy try to talk to her birth mother? Why did Annie get fired for Nick not flying to NoLa in the morning? Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member A Sort of Homecoming gives viewers a behind-the-scenes view of what it is like to be on a high school debate team - not a typical subject for a teen-laced film - and it takes an interesting look at how one year in your life can change your entire future. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member This is an indie that made the festival rounds in 2015. It stars Laura Marano of Disney Channel's Austin & Ally and Katherine McNamara of the new Freeform series Shadowhunters. It's a thoughtful teen drama about identity and belong, told from an adult point of view and set in the highly competitive world of high school debate. Here are the awards it picked up at festival around the US: >> Gold Award for Best Dramatic Feature (WorldFest-Houston 2015) >> Rising Star Award for Laura Marano (WorldFest-Houston 2015) >> Best Director Award for Maria Burton (Downtown Film Festival Los Angeles 2015) >> Best Supporting Actress for Kathleen Wilhoite (Breckenridge Festival of Film 2015) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
