Couldn't tell if this was supposed to be a slice of life with no satisfying ending or a test to see how long it takes for the audience to get bored. The greyscale leave the scenes with no memorable moments, and the characters spend their whole time debating topical things rather than actually interacting as people. The actor behind Alan has absolutely no charisma, giving a very stiff and repetitive delivery while Marcos constantly outshines him but suffers from the writers giving him nothing interesting to say.

This was odd until you start to get it. The boat reference was key, being done in B&W also worked as intended. Without giving away too much, it was a deep movie that got you thinking about how we view relationships. Our hang ups in relationships and the understanding and to let go of the safety nets.
