She sounds like the old Demi again whom I first truly became a fan of. She was able to reach her high notes and the songs sounded genuine to their original performances. I was very happy they weren't the "rock" versions like her current album is doing. Her voice is way to beautiful to be wasted on songs that don't truly showcase her abilities. This special did capture her range and her personality shines through as well. She was funny and quirky. I was pleasantly surprised. And I absolutely have to give her major props for including the Aliens and not being afraid to be true to herself. "Also aliens are real and I'm going to Mars Bitches!" We know this, but you don't have to scream out every single part of a song to make it powerful. Some of the softer Christmas songs were just hard to listen to the way she screamed it out from beginning to end. Some songs need to be sung a little softer.
