G. Allen Johnson San Francisco Chronicle The film is undeniably energetic, with a lot of good lines written by Shores, but it descends into obvious preachiness, and from this view, the unrelenting wackiness becomes overwhelming. Rated: 2.5/4 Sep 7, 2017 Full Review Gary Goldstein Los Angeles Times As broad as the side of a barn but much more amusing. Aug 31, 2017 Full Review Frank Scheck The Hollywood Reporter Delivers much of the same brand of raucous, gay-themed humor that propelled its predecessor to surprising success. Mar 15, 2017 Full Review Alistair Ryder Gay Essential Although far from the sordid affair the title suggests, this joyously camp film is a definite guilty pleasure that will be a flat out triumph to returning fans- and an enjoyably trashy time for newcomers to the franchise. Oct 10, 2019 Full Review Bradley Gibson Film Threat You'll get a gay rights sermon with your booze and cigarettes and Southern charm the way the good lord intended. Rated: 8/10 Jul 5, 2017 Full Review David Noh Film Journal International If you liked the original, the overdue sequel to Sordid Lives will both delight you and warm your ever-lovin' heart. Audience Member Better than the original, by far. Now if you excuse me, I have a show to do ! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member It is a monologue for an hour. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A wonderful sequel to Sordid Lives. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member MAY CONTAIN A SPOILER OR TWO..... I was kind of dreading watching this movie. I am a HUGE fan of Olivia Newton-John and she wasn't in this one for the first time. The original cast is few and they are introducing some strange, new characters. As a fan of the original movie and series, I was skeptical.... WOW, was I suprised! I even agreed and identified with a serial killer (and was actually sad at his closier). This movie is an awesome sequel and deserves a watch. By the way, if you haven't seen Sordid Lives yet, do yourself a favor and give it a watch. It is a black comedy about white trash. As much as I will always love Olivia, this movie may surpass the original (sorry Olivia, I missed you and your music in this one). This is a full story that didn't need every single star to tell an amazing story. Very well done. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member I have been waiting to see this. It was wonderful!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Que pelicula mas divertida y con buenas intenciones. La historia no es nada nuevo pero la actuacion hace que sobresalga. Vale la pena verla. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
