G. Allen Johnson San Francisco Chronicle 09/07/2017
2.5/4
The film is undeniably energetic, with a lot of good lines written by Shores, but it descends into obvious preachiness, and from this view, the unrelenting wackiness becomes overwhelming. Go to Full Review
Gary Goldstein Los Angeles Times 08/31/2017
As broad as the side of a barn but much more amusing. Go to Full Review
Frank Scheck The Hollywood Reporter 03/15/2017
Delivers much of the same brand of raucous, gay-themed humor that propelled its predecessor to surprising success. Go to Full Review
Alistair Ryder Gay Essential 10/10/2019
Although far from the sordid affair the title suggests, this joyously camp film is a definite guilty pleasure that will be a flat out triumph to returning fans- and an enjoyably trashy time for newcomers to the franchise. Go to Full Review

You'll get a gay rights sermon with your booze and cigarettes and Southern charm the way the good lord intended. Go to Full Review

Darin S Dec 21 I was the fan of the series, and this movie did not disappoint. Lots of belly laughs along the journey of this sordid movie. See more 05/16/2021 Better than the original, by far. Now if you excuse me, I have a show to do ! See more 05/11/2021 It is a monologue for an hour. See more 01/31/2020 A wonderful sequel to Sordid Lives. See more 11/27/2017 MAY CONTAIN A SPOILER OR TWO..... I was kind of dreading watching this movie. I am a HUGE fan of Olivia Newton-John and she wasn't in this one for the first time. The original cast is few and they are introducing some strange, new characters. As a fan of the original movie and series, I was skeptical.... WOW, was I suprised! I even agreed and identified with a serial killer (and was actually sad at his closier). This movie is an awesome sequel and deserves a watch. By the way, if you haven't seen Sordid Lives yet, do yourself a favor and give it a watch. It is a black comedy about white trash. As much as I will always love Olivia, this movie may surpass the original (sorry Olivia, I missed you and your music in this one). This is a full story that didn't need every single star to tell an amazing story. Very well done. See more 11/08/2017 I have been waiting to see this. It was wonderful!!! See more Read all reviews
