By-the-numbers movie that never dares to color outside of the lines. Blending two cliches into one sentence is lazy, but appropriate for this movie that tries too hard to mine depth out of a shallow, predictable script.

A warrior's heart isn't anything earth shattering. Lutz does a decent job of playing a hot headed lacrosse player that loses his dad and often his temper. He finds himself knocking down a shed in the forest with a marine in order to "rebuild who he is". Cue braveheart lacrosse ending. Hallmark meh.

iam not sure why this movie got so many rotten tomatoes but I just watched it and to me it showed how people deal and handle death as kids. It had me in tears a few times.
