Audience Member Hmmm... It's always hard to rate a Telugu flick next to any other mainstream genre cause, basically, they're in a league of their own. Siddhu ji is also the master Telugu hero, the most beautiful man perhaps to grace a screen probably, I don't know, like, ever. Within the space of the first ten minutes we learn Srikrishna (Siddharth) is the hyper-imaginative son of a projectionist who has learnt all his life lessons from stars of the silver screen. Fast forward to an early twenties Srikrishna, racing away from some bootleggers to deliver a film reel to his eagerly awaiting Father, here we see the fruits of his filmi life lessons, with Srikrishna becoming a regular BMX bandit. Flash to a New Year's eve party where Sathya (Ileana D'Cruz) is meeting her friends. One, Jyothi, accidentally bumps drunken rich kid thug Vicky and thus incurs his wrath. Within the next two minutes, poor old Jyothi is dead and Vicky has already been vindicated by the corrupt arm of the law. Srikrishna then takes an excursion to a holy place to deliver a film and bumps into the beautiful yet agitated Sathya. What follows in a series of flashbacks is a collection of songs featuring aforementioned hero and heroine reluctantly falling in love whilst eluding the super bad dudes, who are so bad they have infiltrated the police force too, looking super cute and wearing some questionable outfits while they do so. So basically, Aata is tops. Eventually, Srikrishna outsmarts the dumb as dog-poop baddy Vicky, his horrible parents, and a host of black-clad nasty pasty henchmen. Sunil expertly plays yet another role getting slapped around as the butt of everyone's jokes and the recipient of everyone's anger, a role he is brilliant at, and hilariously funny in. If you can put aside the rampant madness of it all and just commit to enjoy, Aata is a couple of hours well spent, with Siddharth undoubtedly the master Entertainer, and consumate King of Prema. He's funny, he's charming, he can sing, he can dance, oh, and he can act. Siddharth starts almost every project as the unlikely hero of the piece and ends with the heroine, and the audience, like putty in his hands. This one is no exception. Not bad, Siddhi, not bad at all!!! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Sidhdharth should never do porukki roles such as this! hmph!
