Kevin Carr 7M Pictures This is a film of small stature, and while it goes down some obvious paths, it's not a chore to watch. Rated: 3/5 Aug 1, 2012 Full Review Prairie Miller NewsBlaze This final requiem for Brittany Murphy effectively lurches between suspicions against a sinister medical establishment - not at all difficult to muster, given their current track record in the real world - and hunches that she may be truly bonkers. Shannon F The only good thing about this movie is Brittany Murphy. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 09/20/24 Full Review Beth H I’m a big fan of Brittany Murphy and her films, but I’m still trying to figure out why she allowed herself to be involved with this movie! This movie was horrible!! It was empty and the cast was just too awful. I was taken aback by Murphys appearance-her skin was pale, her normally beautiful expressive eyes seemed dark and empty, her voice sounded gravelly and weak, and she appeared to have an overbite or buck-toothed issue with her front upper teeth. On top of that her hair looked incredibly oily and dirty as well as unhealthy! Something was terribly wrong with her and she was a shadow of her former self. I can’t believe that no one made an attempt to get her into a hospital or care facility! Her life could have been saved had someone ANYONE around her that was a sober, loving person and/or friend took action to help her! It’s so sad and heartbreaking that the only people, her mother and freaky so-called husband, around her were so sick and doped up. They used her and they killed her. I don’t know how her mother sleeps at night. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 06/08/24 Full Review Kyle J Except for the leading lady, acting is embarrassing. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/01/24 Full Review Regina P I did figure this out long before the reveal. I will give it points for not being boring. It's still a cheap film, though. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 06/05/23 Full Review roger g A reasonable story that went from possible to unbelievable in a short period of time. The continuity was awkward, the heroine was able to do some amazing things, and some characters were out of place. This movie was the last one where Brittany Murphy was a headliner. So sorry that it had to be in this movie with such a mismanaged script. There have been many movies with a limited set, and "Abandoned" was confined to one building with half of it under renovation. This limited set, plus the parking garage kept the budget low, and unfortunately, that showed in this movie. Dean Cain acted as well as Dean Cain can, and that did not help this mediocre attempt at a thriller. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I don't get the bad reviews. The mo is was very suspenseful and entertaining. Brittany Murphy was great in her last performance. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
