A group of middle-aged friends revisit the beautiful forests of Palamau, where they took a pleasure trip in their twenties. However, in the intervening years much has changed for them: one of the group is dead and another, Harinath, now suffers from cancer. Aparna and Ashim, who met in the forest all those years ago, are now married to each other but struggling to hold on to their optimism and beliefs.

Audience Member you MUST watch Satyajit Ray's "Aranyer Dinratri" before attempting this movie, or you won't feel the magic...actually you won't even know who the characters are. The movie was all about nostalgia, for the characters, as well as us, the viewers. The movie could easily be 4-4.5 star movie, but Ghose somehow tangled it all up by the end with the unnecessary 911 connection and the whole "let's become tribal" messages.
