It’s not a great movie, but it’s better than it needed to be, borrowing a bemused/celebratory attitude towards pop megastardom from A Hard Day’s Night. Go to Full Review

Hallstrom creates such a giddy environment of interviews and stage domination, it easy to get sucked into the touring whirlwind and appreciate this special moment in the history of a legendary group. Go to Full Review

Sandra 05/13/2022 Enjoyed the music and history behind a group I enjoyed in the past. See more On B Oct 29 A celebration If you are a fan yoùll be enjoying it from the start The rendition of the hits is ultimate The Australian background is priceless The parts of the concerts are too short but still enjoyable If you've never been there , it's a unique occasion to see Especially if you cannot i tend the voyage concert If you're curious about the band ,it's a good introduction after seeing the TV performances Artistically, not a revolutionary item , but a perfect swedish perfection just the scenario is weak As a documentary, it's a good introduction, better than any documentary made these days See more Tom M Mar 11 Should have ditched the stupid device of having a journalist chase them around on their tour. Just some concert footage and a couple of press conferences would have sufficed. See more Jithin K 09/03/2024 I'm definitely not the target audience for this. I've never understood the appeal of a concert movie when it is considered a movie. This just adds a 10-minute mockumentary aspect that is peppered throughout the movie. I think this did what they set out to do. I've never listened to ABBA before, so the first few songs made me think I'd hate them, but by the end, I thought a few of the songs were pretty good. So maybe it really worked. But I just can't accept these stuff as films by themselves. See more joel h 07/20/2022 ABBA: The Movie is a chance for the band to showcase their Australian tour with a paper-thin plot constructed around that concept. This pseudo-documentary doesn't really reveal any new information about the band, but if you're a fan of ABBA or just want to get to know them a little bit, this will keep you entertained. I enjoyed spending some time with these Swedish superstars in the seventies. See more 08/17/2021 Not much of a storyline. Yet a great movie about one of the most popular bands ever at the peak of their career. Any person interested in popular music should watch this ! See more Read all reviews
