Visually well done, very suspenseful, and the style was wonderful. Go to Full Review

“Aberrance” has its issues regarding its narrative and the overall writing, but the cinematography, the acting, and its rareness as a Mongolian horror movie, make it a title that definitely deserves a watch. Go to Full Review

The first horror movie from Mongolia to get a U.S. theatrical release isn't perfect, but it shows promise. Go to Full Review

References to Mongolian tradition can be found, but the real home for this movie seems to be a house built by other horror movies. Go to Full Review

There is a style and mood that make Aberrance intriguing. It attacks the senses with violent imagery and a well constructed score. The thin script also manages to pack in some impressive twists and turns. Go to Full Review

A technically rich film, Aberrance, doesn’t quite land its other components as easily. It does, however, remain a great first step into feature directing and makes Batsukh a director to follow. Go to Full Review

Mr. Hollywood 10/18/2023 Pretty short film that sets up the story nicely and doesnt disappoint, you will not have enough time to decide where it is going. Nice short ride See more Diana S Jan 24 Really interesting cinematic style with an obvious film noir influence. The acting is good and overall I found the film totally worth watching, though I was disappointed at how the story devolved into a standard, by-the-numbers, fairly convoluted thriller. See more Albert G Jan 21 Such an upsetting film. The first half of the movie is interesting and gets you invested. It makes you believe the reveal will be shocking. Then after the first act it all falls apart. Its like that meme "They had me in the first half I'm not gonna lie." The reveal is so generic it takes away from everything that made you invested in the first place. The ending is hilarious and I honestly think they thought it was a good one. I only rate it slightly above a star because the actors are good and the first half of the movie was genuinely interesting, but not something I would watch again. See more Read all reviews
