Glenn Kenny New York Times If you're making your living creating music and you adjust your instrumentation, that's not really giving up your day job. Feb 1, 2018 Full Review Bradley Gibson Film Threat The film is agreeable and light...This film will work best with a good sound system turned up loud. Come for the stylish brit-pop, stay for the EDM experience. Rated: 8/10 Feb 20, 2018 Full Review André Hereford Film Journal International The film is preachy, too, in its own way, using images of mesmerized concert attendees to proselytize on behalf of loving this band. Audience Member The critics who have posted negative review obviously Have no connection to the band or the music. This was a film created for people who already know and love above & beyond. It does a fantastic job of balancing full performances with behind the scenes footage. There is a great mix of humor and emotional reflection. One of the best moments shows Jono and his brother James getting their hair cut at a barber SHOP which is operated by two brothers. The concert footage is beautifully edited and the audio is superbly mixed. If you are unfamiliar with above & Beyond's music, take some time to check it out, before going to the movie. If you don't connect with the music, then you may not find the movie enjoyable. You may also lack empathy and be a generally grumpy person. ;) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Read all reviews
