Tim Cogshell FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) It's all interesting stuff, but not fodder for a movie. There's not enough there for a movie like this to fill in. May 13, 2021 Full Review Brian Tallerico RogerEbert.com There's more than enough meat on the bones of this true story for a film like Above Suspicion, but director Phillip Noyce can't figure out how to tell it in a way that's more interesting than a Wikipedia entry. Rated: 1.5/4 May 7, 2021 Full Review Craig D. Lindsey AV Club Shot way back in 2016, but only now reaching American theaters and digital services, Above Suspicion plays exactly like a movie you'd expect to sit on the shelf for years, no one pushing hard for its release. Rated: D May 5, 2021 Full Review Tony Medley tonymedley.com Shame on them. They bury the lead and tell a different tale from the excellent book about an FBI agent accused of murder. The true story is much more interesting than what they invented. If you want to create facts, don't use real names. Rated: 6/10 Jun 2, 2024 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies “Above Suspicion” has a story worthy of being told but it’s emphasis is too often on the wrong thing. Rated: 2.5/5 Aug 17, 2022 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews The story, even if true, never seems authentic. Rated: C+ Jun 6, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews

Marcus j I thought Above Suspicion was absolutely fantastic! Emilia Clarke’s performance was incredible. Her range as an actress went to another level. It’s the best movie I’ve seen this year 💯! 10/10! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/14/24 Full Review Norm S Lots of action. Emilia was excellent. " Somos lembramos daquildo que podemos suportar" Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/25/24 Full Review Alvin T My family is from Pikeville, KY. and I never knew about this. Good movie, I have been trying to find something worth watching and this turned out to be much better than I thought it would be. The only reason I started watching this movie was because it was about Pikeville, and I didn't expect to be interested enough to watch the whole thing. Glad I did! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/24 Full Review Brigitta A You can say anything but this movie is great°°° Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/16/23 Full Review Martin B So you've got a college degree, get accepted as a trainee in the FBI, graduate becoming an FBI agent. First assignment, in a matter of weeks you decide to get involved with a confidential informant. A drug addicted, uneducated, poor, trailer park mamma having a torrid affair while having a wife and baby at home. Then try to pull away, the woman betrays her former lover warning the drug warehousing operation of a pending raid. You confront her, pay her off, say it's over, it continues to go south and this made sense to the writers how? Because it was true obviously. The problem is it's too ridiculous even if it's based on fact. It surely never happened in they way it was represented it had to be far more complicated. But in the story telling of it, it transitions from a tragedy to a comedy it appears so ridiculous. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 08/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
