Taemin and Minji, a couple of Korean tourists, travel to the Northern part of the United States to see the Aurora Borealis for the first time. After an argument and a late-night shower, Minji mysteriously disappears. The local Sheriff comes to investigate and Taemin, who speaks very little English, cannot explain himself properly. Suspicious, the Sheriff holds Taemin in jail overnight but, with some unexpected help, Taemin escapes. Understanding that the police view him as a suspect, he tries to find Minji on his own but his journey is full of obstacles: the deeper he goes into this small town, the more surreal his world becomes.
