Jelisije J A nice little movie about the relationship between troubled brothers in their teens years that has been done a million times before, but still was worth a decent watch. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/29/24 Full Review Audience Member We know how this works out, Ricky is a LOOSER and a MORAN. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member You can win this thing tomorrow, all you have to do is let yourself. The Maloney brothers lost their father as youths and their lives went in very separate directions after the tragedy. They are both crazy about their mom, but Billy followed a path of trouble like his father and was ultimately sent to juvenile hall. Joe got a job and joined the track team where he excels and hopes to get a scholarship to Stanford. When Billy returns from juvenile hall he threatens to disrupt the future of Joe. "You have to be tough with these punks!" "Where's the jacket they had?" "Call security." Sandy Tung, director of Alice Upside Down, Confessions of a Sexist Pig, Shiloh 2, Soccer Dog, and Saving Shiloh, delivers Across the Tracks. The storyline for this picture is actually very good and I liked it better than similar pictures in the genre like Fast Times at Ridgemont High. The acting is wonderful as are the characters. The cast includes Brad Pitt, Ricky Schroder, Carrie Snodgrass, Jack McGee, and Cyril O'Reilly. "Who wants some?" I came across this film on Netflix and had never seen or heard of it. I was thoroughly impressed by the characters in this film and how they were portrayed, evolved, and delivered. The script and setting were perfect and I really enjoyed watching this film unfold. This is an underrated picture that is definitely worth a viewing. "As soon as they let you out, you start screwing up everybody's lives." Grade: A Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member old school brad pitt lol Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member It's a moderately entertaining sports flick about two brothers/athletes. Ricky Schroeder was trying to hold on to his career with this and Brad Pitt was just beginning his. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member this is one of my top 3 brad pitt films he's ever done. Simply because it seems so real. No one is a doctor or lawyer, their blue collar, everyday people dealing with NORMAL problems. Even though its sort of an unknown, I still like its values.
