Steve D The cast is average at best and the plot is more uncomfortable than funny. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Marcus T How did this cast get mixed up in this stinker. Broderick and Ryan did the best they could with the hand they were dealt, but nobody could have saved this absurdity. It was good for a few chuckles, but totally unsatisfying as a story. What were the writers and producers thinking? Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review jon c You might as well face it you're addicted to love A romantic comedy of two people getting off by getting even Matthew Broderick and Meg Ryan star as Sam and Maggie co-starring along the late Kelly Preston and Tchéky Karyo Sam is an astronomer who loves his fiancé Linda but she ultimately leaves him for a teaching position and someone else...a man named Anton Maggie had her heart broken as well and it turns out her ex is Anton of all people They both meet in NYC putting a plan together to spy on the two that broke their hearts and record their lives Ultimately they want to make their exes miserable Along the way they both might end up falling for each other in the process You can't define love, is it like an emptiness inside we need to fill?, it's not like we can just shrug it off, we can't choose who we love This is funny wacky romantic comedy Any other person would see these two as very psychotic not handling their breakup in a mature manner But the fun is seeing Broderick and Ryan getting to see their former flames burn The score is very over-the-top in spots but that is the intent It's a twisted concoction of retaliation and romance This will definitely tickle your taste buds if you're in the mood for sweet, silly revenge By the time it wraps up you wish they'd focus a bit more on tying things up But the two leads and the comedic antics more than make up for it Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Great light comedy but with some really touching moments. Acting is excellent and some really great lines. A favourite of mine. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Humorous and sad, if you're a stalker spy like me, but not enough vengeance. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Adorable Avenging Quirky Love Stories. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Carol Buckland CNN.com The main problem with this movie is that it wavers between touchy-feely sweetness and dark-hearted nastiness. Its indecisiveness of tone ends up undermining and unraveling the production. Rated: B- Feb 23, 2019 Full Review Michael Dequina TheMovieReport.com Stalking does not sound like a viable basis for a romantic comedy, but director Griffin Dunne and screenwriter Robert Gordon have somehow made it work.
