Nathan C Adventures in Public School B I like it. A bit cheesy at times but good. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/22/24 Full Review barbie a Surprisingly a really good movie, had me laughing & cringing. Total must watch! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/25/22 Full Review Audience Member Public Schooled (or Adventures I'm Public School) definitely has a sense of humour that's not for everyone. I did think it was funny and had a realistic take on public high school life. The mother/son relationship is pretty intensely weird and thrashing at the boundary of too far. But Julie Greer, who is such an amazing comic actor and often under-utilised, is great as the Mom. And, thankfully, this is not your average "teen comedy" - the humour is not purely physical and is actually funny. I would say that Daniel Doheny can't carry quite as much of the film as he was supposed to and the female characters, plot, and humour would Be significantly improved by a female co/writer, because all of the women characters are fairly two-dimensional which is a shame - and completely avoidable. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member I actually didn't mind this movie as much as others did. The part of this movie I didn't like is all on Judy. Just her usual weird annoying acting role in almost every film she's been in and the overprotective helicopter parenting is super weird. Otherwise- it tells the normal teenage story about going into high school from homeschooling, first crush, everything you do as a teenager. 4/5 ⭐️ Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member I actually didn't mind this movie as much as others did. Todo el tiempo estas esperando que mejore, pero nunca pasa, y la chica bonita se queda con el tipo rudo. Solo los últimos 3 minutos finales de la película se podría decir que valen la pena. No recomendaría que la vieran, ni la volvería a ver. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Kimber Myers Los Angeles Times "Adventures in Public School" isn't for everyone. But this oddball high school comedy from director Kyle Rideout has a distinct voice and a wry sense of humor that sets it apart from the standard teen film. Apr 26, 2018 Full Review Sheri Linden Hollywood Reporter The writing and direction of Public Schooled put a bright spin on high-school antics, and the ace cast makes the grade, led by Judy Greer's long-proven down-to-earth magic and the deft physical comedy of Daniel Doheny. Oct 11, 2017 Full Review Dennis Harvey Variety Greer proves a resourceful comedienne, as usual, and a colorful array of supporting characters are nicely turned. The film's biggest single asset, however, is newcomer Doheny ... Sep 14, 2017 Full Review Richard Crouse Richard Crouse What could have been a story of over-dependency is, in fact, grounded by just enough sincerity and affability to save it from becoming an a matriarchal Great Santini.
