Aedyn F 07/11/2024 My first watch through I didn’t think too much about it, besides the peculiar transparency of scamper. Although after my 10th rewatch I began to love this movie. The sound track is incredible, especially the song involving the seagulls. When i first saw this movie i was 5, and now i’m in my thirties with three kids and we watch this movie every weekend. To my knowledge I am the only one who has seen this movie among my friends, but i’m so glad i’ve been able to watch this. My only complaint with the movie is that it moves your heart to much. See more 08/31/2012 Scamper is actually Lolo, and I have not learned the original language yet but it is worth it and necessary. The popular English Dubbed version by FFFF changes the music, and even changes the story. They also delete a few scenes. Here they are: The overture which plays beautiful glass harmonica music, A scene with the Aurora Australis, Lolo being spanked, Lolo invading a sea gull nest, A Leopard Seal being eaten by an Orca, Three penguins being shot and then drowned. (and I think Lolo's father is one of them) the deaths of the poachers. (and presumably the St. Bernard) and a mourning scene by the surviving penguins. NOTHING should have been cut. It would have done well as a motion picture with a MPAA rating of G, or PG at the worst possible rating. If they released it to USA theatres, then Lolo could compete with Little Foot because the original Land Before Time involved the death of a parent character. Sadly, this film remains still to this day as of this typing, a preschool film without any Deleted Scenes option. See more 04/11/2012 Dull artwork and animation, plus a few recycled shots.
