Kamden C The film was great I love movies about crime and someone having to step-up for his/her family. I actually had watched this movie before the class started which made it even better that I was able to speak with the director and ask questions. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/09/23 Full Review salma h This was a beautifully shot movie, but seemed a bit bland. The moral of the story is amazing but i feel like there could have been a little more originality. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/07/23 Full Review Lily G The beginning was fairly slow and hard to pay attention to. It seemed somwhat cliche and the straight shot man turned to crime style movie was something that has been done before and i didnt find it that original. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/07/23 Full Review Jake Mogenis I thought that the movie had a great focus and headline, but I wouldn't say it lived up to how good it could have potentially been. However, it puts family as the forefront issue by highlighting that parental figures will do anything for their family even if it means breaking the law and hurting other people's lives. So the question is: Did the character portraying Bill do the right thing by committing crimes since it was for his family, or is he a villain who is destroying other people's lives? Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/06/23 Full Review Emaleigh T I think After The Fall had a great storyline and the film production was creative, but the end of the film felt unfulfilled. I felt as if Ben got off with a slap on the wrist. I think the story could've been furthered at the end. The foreshadowing and the symbolism within the film was creative. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/06/23 Full Review Cj C I thought this movie was well constructed. I felt that the main goal was not pure entertainment but to have the viewer question their own morals. Robert Abele Los Angeles Times The basic story's narrative and psychological simplicity - characters stating their beliefs over and over again - becomes an increasing burden. Dec 22, 2014 Full Review Charles Bramesco The Dissolve A film that could only succeed by sorting through gradually darkening shades of gray works exclusively in embarrassingly bold strokes. Rated: 1.5/5 Dec 15, 2014 Full Review Odie Henderson RogerEbert.com A substandard "crime drama" that reeks of the Idiot Plot Syndrome. Rated: 1/4 Dec 12, 2014 Full Review Nicholas Bell IONCINEMA.com Filled with convenient turns and easily attainable avenues of retribution, the film ultimately seems like an archaic example of the dangerous follies of patriarchy. Rated: 1.5/5 Sep 19, 2019 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue There are hints along the way of the socioeconomic strife that Klein wants to explore, yet they become lost in a muddled screenplay that doesn't establish sympathy for its protagonist or his plight. Dec 31, 2014 Full Review Roger Moore Tribune News Service Forgettable...Bentley is bland, first scene to last, and thanks to its subject, the film is instantly dated Rated: 1.5/4 Dec 22, 2014 Full Review Read all reviews
