Having already stolen two from the set of three priceless Napoleon Diamonds, expert jewel thief Max Burdett (Pierce Brosnan) decides to retire on a tropical island with his girlfriend and partner-in-crime, Lola (Salma Hayek). Fate intervenes, however, when Max discovers the third and final diamond is sitting on a docked cruise ship on his very island. It should be a simple job, but FBI agent Stan Lloyd (Woody Harrelson) shows up to make sure Max doesn't get any ideas.

Jay W Pierce Brosnan and Salma Hayak star as world class thieves. The two of them are chased by FBI agent Stan Lloyd played by Woody Harrelson. After their big heist, the two thieves decide to retire from the stealing game. But Brosnan may still have the itch to steal one more diamond. The main problem is the fact that the characters are not all that likable. They are both attractive, but not likable. Brosnan's whole motivation stems from pride, ego and boredom. The story is very repetitive and dull. Every other scene ends with the two of the characters making out. Most of the story takes place in the same area. Characters and plot points are brought up only to be abandoned. The actors are able to bring some of their natural charm to these awful characters. The island setting may get stale, but it is a beautiful setting. And, the ending is entertaining, albeit not emotionally satisfying. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 09/07/25 Full Review Joseph C Bland, boring and badly acted, what waste of good actors! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/24/25 Full Review AT G Something a kid would enjoy but I’ve much better heist films. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/20/25 Full Review Horror fan 4 What a delightful little heist movie with the gorgeous Selma Hayek. Tim Treakle Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/14/25 Full Review ROBIN F it was perfect for our "bad movie night". Hard to sit through but we did it. Felt like it was filmed by high schoolers. The plot had holes and there was no chemistry between Woody and Naomie. As soon as the movie is over, you forget that Don Cheadle was in the movie. So much of it was like "why" Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/10/25 Full Review Ken M Well, there's an hour and forty five minutes that I'll never get back. This film is a joke .. and not the 'funny-ha ha' type of joke either. The sort of joke that relies on it's ridiculousness and absurdity to be effective. Right from the start one can tell that pretty much nothing in this film makes any sense whatsoever. The armored car that the bad guys somehow get total control of. The three cars and truck that pursue the Woody Harrelson who is in the car, and that's before the opening credits roll. The rest of the movie continues in the same vain .. none of it makes any sense. Dumb, silly and boring movie .. don't waste your time. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 08/07/25 Full Review Read all reviews
