What a gorgeous, but tragic movie. I was looking round for something to watch tonight and by chance came across this gem. Bring a fan of WW2 movies, l thought ld try this one, but it was not what l was expecting. It is about two young girls about 16 who get caught up with the Nazi baby breeding program pre war, and because of their doubtful past and strong values, faught against the program as much as they could. Also tied up in it was a German Colonel who went along with it to some extent but eventually helped the girls get out of the program and saved lives, while at the same time fell in love with one of the girls. I'm so glad l came across it. What a gem!
