Vladan Petkovic Cineuropa Stoya turns out to be a talented actress, creating a character that convincingly covers the spectrum between android and human. Sep 16, 2020 Full Review CJ Sheu Critics at Large It's a sign of the dialectical power of ... Stoya's acting that the only time [her] character loses its beautifully fragmented coherence is ... in the final shot. Jun 30, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Antihrist P It tries to act as a psychological drama, but it's not. It's emotionless and shallow, and it's not the fault of the actors. The script is just poor and does not let the actors do anything to fix it. Very poor directing makes the movie both too slow and too fast. A lot of needless slow and empty shots were supposed to make an ambient... like Space Odyssey, or Dune,... but it failed miserably. It's because those shots do not have any deeper meaning, they were not there to create or ease tension, there is no buildup of thoughts, ideas or emotions leading to the long shots... They are just there, wasting your time. What's left of the movie, when you take out the long empty shots, is the plot which unravels too fast with very little dialogue. You simply can't bond with the characters. Apart from being too fast, the script is also very shallow, making it practically impossible for the actors to salvage the movie. And yeah... what's with all the computer countdowns? It's really a shame. The initial idea, presented in the opening scene, had so much potential for a mind spinning and blood freezing Black Mirror type of a plot. Instead, all you get is a shallow psychological drama wannabe which will completely waste your time. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/23/25 Full Review robert f I was put off for not watching because of the poor review on IMDB. But I thought it was very well done. Plus I enjoyed it. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/15/25 Full Review chantel s The story itself is a display of unnecessary female nudity in film. Yet a honest look at male entitlement to females. It's odd how Hollywood is ok with displaying this in movies time and time again and then wondering why men act this exact way day in and out. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/03/25 Full Review Jamie D There is nothing artistic or thought provoking about this film, that tries too hard to be both of these things. The plot is poorly formed, and the acting isn’t great (to be fair the actors were not given much to work with). There’s a lot of gratuitous sex and the actress almost never has clothes on. I would retitle this movie: “Male fantasy fulfillment via soft porn in space”. There is no way this movie has an 84 percent positive rating, unless a bunch of 12 year old boys was surveyed. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/13/25 Full Review Hugh S How the hell this sits at 85% audience score I've no idea. It's nothing more than soft porn in a depressing, dirty looking, cheap, spaceship interior. The actress must have been desperate for work. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/26/25 Full Review jeff a The acting is laughable. The constant "ethereal" music is annoying. Why does a deep space ship have an atmosphere that seems smokey? And unless this guy like 12 year old girls, why would he pick a skinny hipless and flat chested exterior for this robot? Just a weird weird movie. Don't waste your time Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/13/25 Full Review Read all reviews
