Meet astronaut Ryan Van Hill-Song, who returns from space only to find his pregnant wife, Sadie, suspicious about his time among the stars. NASA sends a crew to track them down, leading to a humorous blend of sci-fi shenanigans, twists and turns. You can't make this sh*t up! I enjoyed how “Alien Love” embraces its low budget and fully capitalises on the genre's familiar tropes. I was laughing so hard because of its almost absurd delivery. When your husband returns from space, he is a changed man, so don’t rush to jump into bed with him! I bet the cast had a blast filming! Apparently, a crew member summarised the film in one sentence: "Hey, this looks like one of those B-Sci-Fi movies from the 50s!" I couldn’t agree more! If you enjoy a mix of absurdity and charm, this indie gem is worth a watch. See more Julius D 07/28/2024 I Have seen most of Simon Oliver's documentaries and have enjoyed them. It was a real treat to see him do a fictional film on the UFO subject, that he is known for. Taking a turn to point at the Westall event that happened in 1966 Australia was certainly an interesting choice, refreshing.
