The Wonderland in Latin America is Colombia, and its jungle serves as the perfect setting to narrate the story of Alix, a 12-year-old girl who seems to fall through a black hole when she sets off under the alias Conejo (Rabbit), a recruiter of children for war. What could be thought of as a dark and painful journey is surpassed by the magical realism of the jungle, Colombian mythological figures, and the extensive wealth of fauna and flora, among others. This never-before-seen adventure features talking animals, a color-changing moon, and a sublime, redemptive Llorona. On the other side of the mirror, everything seems to be upside down, including the end of this great adventure, in which Alix frees herself and manages to carry out her dream of being happy with the help of Conejo, who has learned to see her as a daughter. Surprised by his feelings for her, he feels confused, and although Alix is his ticket to freedom--because his girlfriend is pregnant--he is forced to protect them until the end, paying a very high price but ensuring them an optimistic and fulfilling future bathed in light.
