MJ C I think that the real attraction of this movie is the fact that there are so many locals in the movie. It makes the film real and not perfectly contrived. Very entertaining. The very talented John Jarrett takes the part of a delinquent rockabilly father who takes a liking to the beautiful Toni Pearen as the girl band's guitarist, David Price as Mick the cross dressing girl band replacement guitarist. It's a straight forward situation comedy, set in South Johnstone in tropical North Queensland, with a happy ending with Nick Lowe's hit "All Men Are Liars" as the outtake. Our family love it!
