Audience Member Somehow a charming ode to a phase of life everyone will recognise - lived or seen. Predictable though, even when it doesn't make sense to go the usual way. Very Australian yet without the usual downer, which is a huge plus, just for proving it can be done, never mind making it thoroughly enjoyable! There's also some nice character observations and a good bit of humour too. Sure it's not perfect, but it shows what can be done on a tight budget with up and coming Australian talent. At the heart of this film is an albeit predictable and almost cliche romance/relationship between two best friends. But despite the familiar territory explored here it is done in such a refreshing and original way that it makes this an Aussie film worth checking out. The dialogue was awful and acting wasn't that solid but it was ok for a film made on a shoe string budget, it was predictable but had a good scene near the end so I can't completely write it off...watch with caution!!!
