One night in his near-empty tower block in contemporary London, Adam (Andrew Scott) has a chance encounter with a mysterious neighbor Harry (Paul Mescal), which punctures the rhythm of his everyday life. As a relationship develops between them, Adam is preoccupied with memories of the past and finds himself drawn back to the suburban town where he grew up, and the childhood home where his parents (Claire Foy and Jamie Bell), appear to be living, just as they were on the day they died, 30 years before.

Hera Brilliant performances by Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal. A touching and beautiful story. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/22/24 Full Review BK A beautiful fearless flawless film . A simple meditation on love. And the fear and complexity we all bring to love that potentially smothers it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/08/24 Full Review See A Lot We left the movie asking what it was all about. Afterwards I read a writeup that made it more understandable. If you decide to see this, read about it first. Even so, the movie was not that good. Also, the dialogue was sometimes hard to understand. I am very surprised at the rave reviews. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/02/24 Full Review michael c It's a crime that the entire cast and the movie itself was ignored by the Oscars. Best movie of 2023 and to think that Poor Things got a ton of nominations. That's what we call BS. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/22/24 Full Review jonjohar Powerful beautifully filmed, loved it Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/24 Full Review Tomas L There were twists, turns, movements, reflections, loves, losses, connections, and isolation going on in and out of frames. Loved the cast and story. I will see it again. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/19/24 Full Review Read all reviews
