Elusive Mikey did such a good job for what she was given, even though the dialogue was kinda corny I still loved it Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/28/23 Full Review Luis T Emmanuelle Pickett's passion for the camera is present and strong in this tense and surprisingly human street thriller about a mother's love, A very personal theme soulfully expressed in her energy brought directing. Low budget independent films are very interesting in how they're able to pull off more in style with less through the right creative vision and energy, the case in point here with Pickett as a debut director. You have an incredible lead turn in former Ghostface Mikey Madison and an interesting antagonist in rapper G-Eazy. Pickett knows how to set the paranoid tone of a confined environment through certain sequences, and through the beautiful cinematography by Sean Bagley craft great framing inside edgy lighting. A very straightforward project fast paced worthy enough for a viewing. Pickett's talent shall put her on the radar with this one. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/19/23 Full Review JamesRamsel What a great directorial debut. This is a believable story about a mother's love for her daughter and what she's willing to go through to keep her. Little Mia is so cute and her facial expressions are perfect at all the right moments. You can sense she and Mikey have a real bond. It's worth a watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/15/23 Full Review Natalya S This was a great movie! It was intense and had me on the edge of my seat! Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue Exploring desperate circumstances on the socioeconomic margins through cliches and contrivances, this low-budget revenge thriller is a formulaic saga about cops, criminals, and irresponsible parents. Dec 8, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews
