Critics Consensus

With bland visuals and a dull, predictable plot, Alpha and Omega is a runt in 2010's animated litter.

John Walsh Independent (UK) The 8-12s will love it, but grown-ups may feel they've seen lots of it before (especially the caribou stampede, a shameless pinch from The Lion King.) Rated: 2/5 Oct 22, 2010 Full Review Peter Bradshaw Guardian Here is a pleasant, undemanding animated family comedy - decent enough, but it feels like a reshuffling of dozens of films you've seen before. Rated: 2/5 Oct 21, 2010 Full Review Empire Magazine A poorly written and disappointingly animated adventure that may keep the wee'uns happy for a while but will leave the adults snoozing. Rated: 2/5 Oct 20, 2010 Full Review Rene Jordan El Nuevo Herald (Miami) This piece of child entertainment is a visual delight and not a punishment for the accompanying adults. [Full review in Spanish] Jul 14, 2022 Full Review Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com Alpha and Omega is a fun filled animated comedy adventure. Rated: 2.5/4.0 Sep 1, 2020 Full Review Victoria Luxford The National (UAE) The animation, coupled with a jarring use of 3D, makes for a visually unspectacular film that feels very similar to others that have come before it. Jenifer G The title and the 2 animal dogs and name them "Alpha and Omega" is truly a BIG blasphemous to God's name. I agree with the other pepple comments about the movie is an absolute blasphemous especially for religions and should really be taken down or discontinue is the only way to not offend God anymore. One should never mock any person yet alone this movie clearly is mocking God. Neither should one mock against religions! Any religions to begings with. The movie writer uses 2 animal dogs as the main characters and name the movie "Alpha and Omega." It is truly mocking God's name. Jesus refers to himself as the "Alpha and Omega," which I doubt the movie writer would say he do not know that Jesus Himself refers to himself as the Alpha and Omega. and it is not like when the movie writer search or google for the name of his movie, "Alpha and Omega," he never see pages or sites especially on Wikipedia in which clearly says "Alpha and Omega" is a title of Christ and God. And if the movie script people all says they truly do not really know then they should really search and read clearly on Wikipedia what "Alpha and Omega" means. Then I hope that they realize that the movie needs to be taken down. And sexuality contents throughout the movies? And the movie gets published for childrens to watch?... Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/07/25 Full Review Kim D The movie is seriously to the absolute blasphemous. and needs to be taken down. The movie Alpha and Omega relies too much on animal jokes that reference sexuality. The Bible says it's a sin to misuse the name of God.
