Critics Consensus

With bland visuals and a dull, predictable plot, Alpha and Omega is a runt in 2010's animated litter.

John Walsh Independent (UK) The 8-12s will love it, but grown-ups may feel they've seen lots of it before (especially the caribou stampede, a shameless pinch from The Lion King.) Rated: 2/5 Oct 22, 2010 Full Review Peter Bradshaw Guardian Here is a pleasant, undemanding animated family comedy - decent enough, but it feels like a reshuffling of dozens of films you've seen before. Rated: 2/5 Oct 21, 2010 Full Review Empire Magazine A poorly written and disappointingly animated adventure that may keep the wee'uns happy for a while but will leave the adults snoozing. Rated: 2/5 Oct 20, 2010 Full Review Rene Jordan El Nuevo Herald (Miami) This piece of child entertainment is a visual delight and not a punishment for the accompanying adults. [Full review in Spanish] Jul 14, 2022 Full Review Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com Alpha and Omega is a fun filled animated comedy adventure. Rated: 2.5/4.0 Sep 1, 2020 Full Review Victoria Luxford The National (UAE) The animation, coupled with a jarring use of 3D, makes for a visually unspectacular film that feels very similar to others that have come before it. NyTimes R Underrated film. It’s good and my kids absolutely love it. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/22/24 Full Review Nickolas K This is okay movie but the animation itself was something else... Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/06/24 Full Review Sophie H It’s so good! The animation is beautiful and the wolves look so realistic. The plot is really interesting and creative and all the characters are so good. I love all the jokes, they were so funny. The howling seen is my personal favourite- 🤩 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/13/24 Full Review Humphrey K Alpha and Omega is an absolute masterpiece that brings tears to the eye, especially because I want to bang the white wolf. The other characters I would also like to rail are the fat wolf from the beginning, the biker man, and the duck and the goose (at the same time). I had wet dreams for a month after viewing. I was a boy when I started this movie, but I have emerged a man. I showed my wife's boyfriend this film, and by the end of it well lets just say we weren't watching for the plot anymore. My disabled grandfather watched this movie and stood up for the first time in 30 years to give a standing ovation. He then immediately threw himself down the stairs and broke his neck because he knew his life had peaked. After I watched this movie, I saw a vision from another timeline. Alpha and Omega was first presented at a UN conference and there was world peace ever since. I truly cannot put into words just how much this movie changed my life. I hope Humphrey and Kate have a long and happy marriage, unlike my parents. In the name of Dennis hopper, Garth, and Stinky, Amen. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/05/24 Full Review 9mm S It's still a fun classic to revisit, despite many negative comments about it, for a 2010 animation and the resources they had, it was decent for It's time...and still is! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/02/24 Full Review Riggs S The character design are ugly Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/07/24 Full Review Read all reviews
