Oct 4, 2019 Full Review Michael Rechtshaffen Los Angeles Times The questionable death of a North Carolina African American teenager is framed in the greater context of the America's not-so-distant lynching past in Jacqueline Olive's rightfully disturbing documentary "Always in Season." nc Educational. It’s difficult getting hard facts on events like the ones in this doc. I hadn’t heard of the events in the doc before watching. Thank you so much for producing this doc. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/25/19 Full Review EL Expose the atrocities of NC & GA. Never give up for prosecution and the truth. Never give up! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/19/19 Full Review Audience Member Unbelievable movie about a subject that is not talked about as it much as it should. Well done documentary. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member this is a very important film. a must see in these days Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Tina E. Devastating but vitally important film about racial violence and how the past bleeds into our present. Told with guts, and beautifully crafted. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/25/19 Full Review Audience Member I can't believe this is one of the first doc films I've seen about this dreadful, hidden topic: lynching in America. Bravo to Ms. Olive for shedding light on it. So moving and thought provoking! "Always in Season" seamlessly weaves together a modern day tale with other historical stories to remind us that the past is alive and well. Claudia Lacy's re-telling of how she lost her son, Lennon, to racial terror (in both the actual murder as well as the botched police investigation) is seared into my mind forever. This film is getting a limited release at AMC theaters this fall - GO SEE IT! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Read all reviews
