Kimber Myers Los Angeles Times As unpleasant and inert as its protagonist, "Amanda & Jack Go Glamping" is a romantic comedy that lacks both love and laughs - and likable characters. Nov 9, 2017 Full Review Justin Lowe Hollywood Reporter Dickerson, who also scripted, figures out how to overlay Jack's mild midlife crisis arc with the camping comedy fairly smoothly, but the problem is that neither of these plot strands is particularly fresh or interesting. Nov 9, 2017 Full Review Danielle White Austin Chronicle It's an attempt to conjure the past. Which, in a sense, is precisely what Amanda and Jack are there to do Rated: 2.5/5 Nov 9, 2017 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue ... provides some scattered quirky laughs, although it strains to be heartwarming and stumbles while attempting to satirize the social-media age. Audience Member 2.5 jack really was unlikable and didn’t deserve his wife . This is the one movie I actually think she should have left Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/26/21 Full Review Audience Member Don't go into this movie thinking anything except that it's a good mockery of hipster culture - if you pay attention to those details, it's pretty funny. And, it turns out, that hipster culture can be a semi-shallow substitute for the gritty hard work of making a marriage work.. What this movie really does nail is the depths of depression that you can encounter as an adult who had a taste of your dreams coming true, and then found that the real world is much more difficult than you thought - and the effects that depression can have on the people who are along with you for the ride. If nothing else, enjoy the discussion of the tasting notes in hipster coffee. :) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the worst movies I've ever seen. How in the world are there good reviews? The entire movie was whiney, depressing, boring, and unfunny. There was no romance or comedy in this romantic comedy. The only thing I felt was an urge to turn it off. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/05/18 Full Review Audience Member Best part was June Squibb and she was only there five minutes. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member June Squibb is the best part of this movie. The only part worth watching. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member i thought this was a funny movie Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews
