Felix Vasquez Jr. Cinema Crazed A great look back at an American Television staple that went the way of the dodo. Rated: 3/4 Jun 21, 2012 Full Review Philip Martin Arkansas Democrat-Gazette ... a lot of what is in the film is fascinating and more valuable than mere nostalgia. It tells us another kind of truth - about an America that's no less real or vital for its obscurity. Rated: 87/100 Feb 6, 2009 Full Review M.E. Russell Oregonian ...as an ADD overview of a deliriously trashy TV subgenre, this is a great start. Rated: B- Jul 6, 2007 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member A great documentary about local TV horror hosts. Could be more balanced and feature more hosts. Rich Koz's "Son Of Svengoolie/Svengoolie" run is barely touched on and because of syndication he is probably the best known horror host in America. Still a must see for fans of these regional hosts in all their weird incarnations. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member A compilation of nothing. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member If you've ever been interested in the history of Horror Hosts its worth checking out. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member http://www.clevelandmovieblog.com/2012/10/31-days-of-halloween-2012-american-scary.html Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member A fun documentary about Horror Hosts featuring Curtis Armstrong, Leonard Maltin, Joel Hodgson, Tim Conway, Neil Gaiman, and most importantly, Penny Dreadful. Highly recommended! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member i just love clips of old TV, and this is a treasure trove of clips from the golden age of the TV Horror Host. LOADS of Ghoulardi, Zacherley, and Vampira clips! Its like a warm blanket of nostalgia, especially with the Count Gore DeVol interviews.... sadly, no Ghost Host from Baltimore's UHF Channel 45, tho Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews
