Bryan F American Cousins is a hidden gem of Scottish cinema that more people need to see. It's funny, heartfelt, and packed with clever, insightful moments. The story feels fresh, and the humor strikes that perfect balance of being both distinctly Scottish and universally relatable. The script is sharp, full of brilliant lines, and the performances are fantastic—every character feels authentic. There’s so much charm and warmth in the way it explores family, culture, and unexpected connections. This is one of those films that sticks with you long after the credits roll. If you’ve never seen it, do yourself a favor and give it a chance. Absolutely brilliant. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/25/25 Full Review Audience Member Mostly enjoyable nice to see a Glasgow based film Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/30/18 Full Review Audience Member I liked this film. It is simple and nicely shot. Easy and enjoyable to watch. The contrived ending lets it down a bit, but I can forgive it that. The story is of the main character and how he finds himself, and has a feel good factor without being too cheesy. Its about family and culture as well. I would have liked to have seen more shots of Glasgow. It's a simple film about the stuff that matters.
