Brian Lowry CNN.com Although Knight isn't always the most reliable narrator, the filmmaker gives him the latitude to tell his tale, describing a world of money, power and violence, while alternating between explaining and lamenting those dynamics. adam b American dream/American knightmare Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member This is an interesting documentary that relies 99% on Suge Knight interviews and 1% on news clips. The interviews are very intimate and personal but it's also very tough to distinguish fact from truth? There are obvious misrepresentations ie Suge saying he couldn't have possibly been involved in the death of Christopher Wallace (aka Biggy) bc he was in jail at the time. That's absolutely laughable bc it's well known that Suge was able to lead to his company Death Row Records via an intermediary that was his ex-girlfriend and confidant. So instead of telling a bold face lie, why not say nothing and avoid the question or think of a more creative lie that wasn't so ridiculous. I go on about that point bc it adequately exemplifies the assertion that it's hard to separate fact from fiction in this doc. But for fans of Suge, this will be a popular doc bc it is a candid expose of him. As long as you take things with a grain of salt, I'd recommend this good doc.
