John DeFore The Hollywood Reporter Lacking in some respects but an eye-opener for those who've never dealt with this world, the doc is more involving thanks to its narrow scope, even if that tight focus leaves us with unanswered questions. Mar 29, 2019 Full Review Gary Goldstein Los Angeles Times [A] gripping look at the thorny intersection of heroin addiction and its treatment in Delray Beach, Fla. ("Rehab Capital of America"), proves as revealing and involving as it does reflective and heartbreaking. Mar 28, 2019 Full Review Nick Schager Variety Captures the recurring nightmare of substance abuse, which makes enduring the unthinkable (homelessness, prostitution, crime, death) an inevitable facet of one's day-to-day. Mar 28, 2019 Full Review Wade Major FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) There are no happy endings here... It's horrifying. Sep 24, 2019 Full Review Avi Offer NYC Movie Guru Illuminating, heartbreaking and alarming. Rated: 8.5/10 Apr 11, 2019 Full Review Carey-Ann Pawsey Orca Sound Pat McGee and Adam Linkehelt's tough but highly watchable documentary follows the story of two former addicts who are now trying to make a difference by helping others get off of drugs. Audience Member Brutally honest, and tragically beautiful ....Best Doc of 2019. Frankie and Allie are angels in a recovery world full of greed and exploitation. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Amazing inside look at the opioid crisis and how it has been turned into a million dollar business for everyone in the rehab business. Allie and Frankie are raw and brutally honest which is so needed. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Thought this documentary was really well done. It's a harsh reality and not always easy to watch, but I think it raises awareness. I commend the cast and crew for doing what I think was a great job at educating and informing. Two thumbs up! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Tragic look at a area of society many are lucky to never be part of, the never ending cycle of â~treatment' and how patients are used for profit in a broken system. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Hard hitting and raw, and yet very stylish at the same time. Interesting and impactful, from beginning to end. Very well done!
