John DeFore Hollywood Reporter Rather than speak to the camera about working with his hero, Homme reads from a journal of the experience, leaching much of the impact out of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Audience Member On one level this is a rock 'n' roll story that wants to be Arthouse, but overridingly it is a movie for fans of defiance, fans of music, fans of rock and let's face it, you can't love rock or defiance without loving Iggy Pop and Josh Homme, two truly great and very different auteurs with the bulk of their creations planted in alternate centuries. The key narrative thread is of a fascination and repulsion with mortality, and intriguingly this band of virtuosos have created something that should live for a long time because of their sense of their own finite nature. It's a great story, the tunes rock, Iggy has never been so well produced or supported. It's a giant f-- yeah. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
