The movie is grounded by a rock solid performance from the film’s co-writer Luke McQuillan. Go to Full Review

The ending is sufficiently convincing that it proves easy enough to forgive earlier clunks and creaks. An earthy reminder of easily ignored realities. A tribute to the independent spirit. Go to Full Review

McQuillan is its sturdiest asset, grounding an increasingly complex plot with a centred performance as Danny. Go to Full Review

The finale is predictably violent and Rambo-esque as Danny goes full vigilante, but for a while, this is a slow-burn treat. Go to Full Review

It works well when it invests its viewers in the lives of its characters, but rarely satisfies with the suspense and action it promises. Go to Full Review

With trauma, a custody battle, gangsters, and homelessness to contend with, lead character Danny faces more than his share of problems in this Irish crime thriller. Go to Full Review

rik b @Rikbattaglia Dec 5 Fantastic film with drama, action, intensity and heart. See more David L Sep 11 It started off OK, the usual Irish movie, lads with poxy " scanger" accents, about 30 mins into it , the story is like a jaysus 10yr old wrote it, it jumps from situation to situation, and by the time it was nearly over, I wanted to jip in my own eyes with disgust. I'd have preferred to watch my own jip fly towards my eyes and hit them pretty hard. See more Georgie O Sep 7 The protagonist Danny was fantastic. Abysmal performance from the young lad, he seriously let's the whole side down, the plot was slow and could have had a deeper impact on the audience. This story is an important one, one that far too may people face and it could have ben told far better. Should have been a BBC series. See more Craig L @Plushly Sep 1 I decided to watch this based on the critic reviews and the billing of Aiden Gillen. The low budget of this indie is apparent. Several of the main actors were less than convincing with their roles. I think the real issue is the underdeveloped script and predictable plotting. Dialogue was simply not natural and it felt as if the actors were not convinced either as they delivered their often silly lines. The unfolding drama was cringe inducing at times. I found it awkward and uncomfortable to sit through. What should have been a gritty revenge thriller turned out to be a juvenile soap opera. Unfortunate. See more Joel P Jul 29 I watched until the bitter end. You don't have to; skip it! Gloomy, dismal and utterly contrived, unbelievable and trite.
