The brutality of Amores Perros may be difficult to watch at times, but this intense, gritty film packs a hard wallop.

David H This was a really interesting look at life in Mexico City. I enjoyed the film, although I thought it was a little too long at two and a half hours. It featured lots of interesting characters. I never could quite figure out who the bank robbers were and how they figured into everything else. And the dog whisperer character never really quite seemed to fit into the plot as nicely as I would have liked him to. I like the way the movie deals with time. It was interesting to start things off with the car crash and then revisit it halfway through, showing the events leading up to and following it from the perspectives of the various parties involved. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/28/24 Full Review Shioka O How you can make a film like this. So tense, brutal to watch it and heavily passionated. It has a fairly long run time--- a well-structured technically ambitious piece of work-- and gripping throughly but the middle part. Worth watching. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/25/24 Full Review Georgan G This Mexican film fills the bill for every kind of love relationship. Despite the sub plots rarely overlapping, there is commonality. Love hurts, cheats, disappoints, and ends. But like the love of dogs, there is still much value therein. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/14/23 Full Review Outer Splatter G Spanish Pulp Fiction. A braid of three stories interwoven to create a captivating exploration of Mexico's people. My favourite Iñárritu movie. His first feature film and the first in his "death trilogy" preceding "21 grams" and the subsequent "Babel".
