'Amores perros' hits hard with intertwining stories of love, betrayal, and guilt, told with confidence and risk. Its structure—three segments of varying intensity—keeps the narrative tense, though the middle section feels slightly less engaging. Gael García shines with magnetic naturalism, while Goya Toledo surprises by making her character viscerally unsettling. The soundtrack stands out, weaving seamlessly into the narrative and heightening the film’s raw impact. Iñárritu and Arriaga masterfully order chaos without domesticating it. Not perfect, but intense, honest, and unforgettable, this is a film that lingers long after viewing.

Un drama de efecto mariposa que se volvió un antes y después del cine mexicano. Con los años sigue conservando su estatus, eso se comprueba fácil porque la trama cautiva al espectador, y esos 150 minutos no resultan agotadores. La película que pondría a González Iñárritu y Gael García en el escaparate mundial.
