Yash B "An Irish Goodbye" is a very sweet short film that works well in the short story format. I fell in love with the characters very quickly and found myself invested in this sad but ultimately sweet story. It warms my heart to know that this was honored at the Oscars last year and think it is a great example of how to tell a story in the short film format. Overall, it is heartwarming and sweet and a solid way to spend about 20 minutes. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/25/23 Full Review Paul G Outstandingly written, acted & shot A mini masterpiece Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/14/23 Full Review Rinkel b An endearing story of the two brothers who loose their mother. The brother living in England wishes to return and carry on with his life but the other brother has a great plan to keep him at home as long as possible, maybe forever. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/22/23 Full Review Anders C Heartwarming, funny, A worthy winner of an Oscar 2023 Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/22/23 Full Review Mark W Sorry this is so overrated and average . A sign of Hollywood ticking boxes . Ok acting but no real emotional depth. just lame jokes about undiplomatic priests and fart " jokes" A quiet girl is a masterpiece in comparison Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/17/23 Full Review Wil G The cinematography and lighting is professional and well done, but that's about the extent of nice things I can say about it. The film has flat characters, extremely non-clever/unfunny comedy, and a plot and dialog that is about as cliche as could be. For a film meant to be heartwarming, all the feelings I had while watching it were washed away by how bland and soulless it is. It's almost as though every aspect of the film was focus tested to appeal to mass audiences, ultimately failing to challenge the viewer with anything particularly interesting or creative.
