Jeff M This surprisingly "not bad" movie has one of the worst and most misleading titles in motion picture history. Seeing it pop up on my Amazon Prime suggestion list, I imagined either a really cheesy Morgan Fairchild vehicle or an AIRPLANE-type satire of its genre. Instead I saw a fairly sensitive and dramatic film that takes its subject matter seriously. And although it can't avoid many of the cliches associated with the matieral, including a couple cheesy montages set to late 70s music about finding love again, it worked for me a lot better than I expected. Performances are good, with Moreno an obvious standout, as she usually is. Flannery, an actress with whom I'm unfamiliar, often has a Faye Dunaway quality here, and there is nice rapport between her and Parker. And although I wouldn't refer to it as psychologically astute, it did make me think about the ramifications and prejudices associated with May-December romances, and why so many think of them in such a negative context. If you don't expect miracles here, you'll experience something akin to an above average Lifetime or Hallmark movie. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/11/24 Full Review Audience Member Very good love story. Susan is so beautiful and Rita is such a great actress. The ending should have happened earlier on I think but it did end the way it should have. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member It's a young guys dream to be with an older woman. I guess you can say that they learned from each other. Look beyound what the movie does and see what it is saying. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
