Daniel M There's something about the imprecise performance of humans in the indie space that is more comforting to watch than movies made by ultra-precise, big-name production companies. The stand-out feature in this movie is the special effects. The first views of future tech drone attacks show that the obsession with sci-fi rpg games is shared by the screenwriter and the fx team. While the drone attack scenes do little to give a sense of where drones are coming from, or what their goals are beyond shooting stuff, the drones themselves look immaculate. The dystopian world combined with the low-budget aesthetic offset by an expert implementation of the artificial on-screen elements makes a statement about indie filmmaking and the threat of artifical intelligence in the creative space. This war with the machines calls for a special set of very refined skills. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/20/24 Full Review Read all reviews
