Neil Genzlinger New York Times If it were at all original, "Andron" would be merely a bad movie poorly executed. That it is instead a knockoff of "The Hunger Games" and "The Maze Runner" makes it all the more condemnable. Jun 2, 2016 Full Review Michael Rechtshaffen Los Angeles Times The hapless viewer who has stumbled upon this cheesy knockoff will likely feel trapped right along with the wooden performances and plodding plot. Jun 2, 2016 Full Review Alan Scherstuhl Village Voice It all gets ponderous, especially all the vague political machinations. Jun 1, 2016 Full Review John Noonan FILMINK (Australia) Andron is as derivative as it sounds... Rated: 5 / 20 Aug 11, 2016 Full Review Stephen Mayne Under the Radar Because this is world-building at its flimsiest, it fails almost completely. Rated: 2.5/10 Jun 29, 2016 Full Review Maitland McDonagh Film Journal International Lack of engaging characters won't play well to the target audience. Jun 8, 2016 Full Review Read all reviews

Gina W Reminded me vaguely of Squid Games; otherwise, it's awful Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/26/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie boosts a few interesting ideas but not much else. It feels like a very poor mans rip off of hunger games. It has characters in it with absolutely no backstory and the characters you could care less about. The acting is bad and the script is worse. It’s a low budget Syfy movie all the way and it makes you wonder how long it took to convince Alec Baldwin and Danny Glover to play in such a slop? Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 12/25/20 Full Review Audience Member Crap watch, will not watch against, and don't recommend. Watch Alec Baldwin and Danny Glover cash a paycheck in a really bad knockoff of what someone thought was Hunger Games, but was a knockoff of Maze Runner or any number of generic arena killers. On the same day where I hardly got any explanation from a different movie (go watch Southbound instead), I got 90% more explanation than I wanted in this. They seem bent on having a meaningful story to why things are happening, and you absolutely don't need it: Hunger Games took 3 books to make their point and this tried to do just as much with more complexity in one movie, without a source material that am audience could reference. Ultimately, avoid this, go watch Hunger Games, Maze Runner or 32, if you can handle it. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member I wish I could unwatch this. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Frances H I kept waiting for a better explanation for what was goin on and never got it. As one reviewer said, if you feel as though you left and missed a couple of key scenes but didn't, then that's this film. If the plot had been thought out and explained better, this film would have been a lot better. It had some plot points, but none were developed into a consistent whole. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 06/12/18 Full Review Audience Member Really bad plot. Moments of action that do not, in any way, make up for the totally underdeveloped storyline Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews
