Now working as an attorney for a major corporation, Andy Hardy (Mickey Rooney) takes his wife, Jane (Patricia Breslin), and their two kids on a trip to his home town, where they reunite with Andy's mother (Fay Holden) and sister (Cecilia Parker). Soon Andy's mind turns to business, and he tries to convince his superiors to build a factory in the small town, which would allow him to move back and improve the local economy. Unfortunately, a corrupt businessman (Frank Ferguson) has it in for Andy.
